Metstrade 2020

Missing our meetings at METS?

METS 2020, Let’s go Virtual

C-Quip has been a permanent feature of the METS Superyacht Pavilion since its inception in 2005, and had you told us this time last year that METS 2020 would not be going ahead, we would’ve suspected you’d been visiting some of Amsterdam’s finest cafes!

We have all had our world turned upside down by the Covid-19 global pandemic, but we are very grateful that our clients, colleagues and suppliers are all safe and well.

The Superyacht Market continues to progress despite the challenges we all face, and C-Quip’s manufacturing facility continues to operate as normal due to New Zealand’s current COVID state. (which we are very thankful for)

Whilst our usual programme of European shipyard and yacht visits have been somewhat disrupted, our sales director Daniel Barnard has been keeping in regular contact with our valued clients using a variety of virtual meetings and file sharing apps, not to mention the good old telephone calls.

Not wanting to miss out on the METS experience altogether, Daniel has set up our exhibition stand in our UK facility to welcome any clients who would like to experience a virtual one to one showcase of our gorgeous carbon fibre swim ladders, boarding stairs, tender fenders, plus our latest design of carbon fibre pilot ladder and even a fully working telescopic light mast.

If you have an interest in a particular product, or an upcoming project requiring a variety of products, please do contact Daniel (daniel@c-quip.com or +44 7715 484221) to book a personal appointment video call. We can’t promise to supply the refreshments that we usually have to hand at the Rai Centre, but we can promise a warm welcome and we really look forward to catching up with friends and clients old and new.

2021 will no doubt bring further challenges, but we look forward to welcoming The Americas Cup to our NZ shores, and Superyachts are currently being welcomed into New Zealand for maintenance and refit work.
C-Quip are more than happy to host visiting captains and crew at our factory for a guided tour, and to see our carbon fibre products in the flesh.

We wish you all the best for the rest of the year, stay safe and get in touch if you would like to join the virtual one on one, or indeed if you are in NZ and wish to walk the factory.
